The Pittsfield Zoning Ordinance has many vague or otherwise illegal provisions that have let certain insiders be treated much more favorably than others. A comprehensive revision of the Zoning ordinance is necessary to stop this injustice. The citizen ordinance project is proposing a zoning amendment for this comprehensive revision, and we petitioned the March 11, 2008, annual Town Meeting to adopt our amendment.
On the right side of the page, you will see links that will take you to various sections where you can read all about this proposal and educate yourself on the matter. We ask that you take the time to read all of these sections.
Unless you receive permission, please do not copy the
proposed zoning amendment for purposes of creating a
different proposal for the Town of Pittsfield.
